Can you prepare for events like these? The truth of the matter is that if you knew of such a tragedy, waiting for you tomorrow, you still couldn't prepare yourself for the horror of it.
Our TVs and newspapers are full of terrible disasters and, at times, thousands dying suddenly. Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, droughts, famines, wars, terrorists, murder, rape and lawlessness are daily events. It's plain to see that the world is descending into ever worsening chaos. It is simply not getting better, nor will it. Daily we see increasing terrorism and the threat of chemical and nuclear war in the Middle East is very real. Jerusalem is a powder keg and is at the heart of Bible prophecy.
What is thought to be the Christian Church is mainly a mix of social clubs and cults which are full of sex scandals and hypocrisy. So called 'Christian TV' has many money hungry preachers giving false hope to millions with their lies. These events are quite disturbing and are the result of man's sin. The Bible clearly speaks of all these things occurring, and more and more often, as the end times come.
With all this happening it would seem that God is not in control but He clearly is. God's Word, the Bible, says that the events you see today will occur and get increasingly worse, before Jesus Christ's Second Coming for the final war in Israel, called Armageddon. You have no control over tomorrow but you can choose to get right with God. Are you at peace with God? Ask yourself this question, "If the Angel of Death comes for me tonight, where will I be in the morning ... in heaven or hell?" Are you saved?
The decisions you make in this life determine your eternal future. You will not get a second chance. The Bible says that we are all sinners and deserve God's punishment but in His love He has made a way for you to be saved from His judgment.
