The Catholic church says that Muslims and Christians worship the same God. Para 841 of the Catechism says that Muslims "together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day". This is a terrible blasphemy. To say that Allah and Jehovah are the same merciful God is as far from the truth as one can get. The Koran says that Allah never had a son (Surah 4:171). How then can Allah possibly be Abraham's God whose Son was Jesus? Allah says to kill Christians and Jews and any other infidel ... is that the merciful God of the Bible? Allah, like Buddha, is an idol.

Forgiveness of sin is through the Eucharist. The Catechism says - 1414 As sacrifice, the Eucharist is also offered in reparation for the sins of the living and the dead and to obtain spiritual or temporal benefits from God.

Salvation is through the Catholic church alone, not by Grace through Christ alone as the Bible says (See para. 846 of the Catechism). The Second Vatican Council's Decree on Ecumenism explains: "For it is through Christ's Catholic Church alone, which is the universal help toward salvation, that the fullness of the means of salvation can be obtained" (From Catechism Comments by D.
